I was still afraid and knew my conflict wasn’t resolved yet, but the volunteer gave me referrals for help. I’m ashamed to say I didn’t go until I needed an ultrasound. The nurse asked if I wanted to see the screen, and of course I did. I saw my baby’s heart beating and burst into tears.
